Updated with today's technology and materials, and a sleeker and thinner profile, this extraordinary Limited Edition, available only in a controlled production run of 600 with the serial number engraved on each caseback, reimagines Seiko's 1965 diver's watch. The first made in Japan, with a water resistance, legibility and durability that made it standard equipment on the Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition (JARE), and propelled Seiko into the forefront of dive watch design.
Part of the Black Series, expressing the view seen through a night vision scope, this dramatic design features hands and markers with Seiko's brighter and longer lasting "Green LumiBrite Pro" suitable for professional usage and providing maximum visibility with the color most recognizable in the dark.
The caliber 8L35 26-jewel automatic movement, hand-assembled at Seiko's Shizukuishi watch studio with the increased torque necessary for smooth operation of the enlarged diver's watch hands, beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, with a power reserve of approximately 50 hours, and provides manual winding capability.
