A core timepiece from the Elegance Collection, SGM221 is a classic Grand Seiko GMT. Inspired by Japanese Ikebana arrangements, the dial features multi-faceted hands and hour markers that sparkle, even in dim light. A tempered-blue GMT hand contrasts beautifully against the ivory dial, resulting in a highly legible design that allows for easy tracking of two distinct time zones via a 24-hour ring.
The case—with its comfortable curved design, box sapphire crystal, and tapering lugs—calls back to the very first Grand Seiko watch from 1960. Powering the watch is Caliber 9S66, which features automatic winding, GMT functionality, 72 hours of power reserve, and accuracy of +5/-3 seconds a day. This beautifully decorated movement can be admired through an exhibition case back.
