Collection
Limited to just 300 pieces exclusively for the U.S. market.
This extraordinary timepiece reimagines Seiko's groundbreaking 1965 diver, the first made in Japan, which earned its reputation on the Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition. The most distinctive feature is the light champagne sunray dial, its intricate pattern inspired by ancient astrolabes, those celestial navigation instruments that once guided mariners by the stars.
The stainless steel case with gold finish measures 41.3mm and showcases Zaratsu polishing to a distortion-free mirror finish. At its heart, the Caliber 8L35, a 26-jewel automatic movement hand-assembled at Seiko's Shizukuishi watch studio, delivers the increased torque necessary for smooth operation of enlarged diver's watch hands, beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour with a 50-hour power reserve. The brown ceramic unidirectional bezel with knurled edge provides precise elapsed time tracking, while the dual-curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating ensures legibility from every angle. Generous LumiBrite coating on all twelve hour markers and hands guarantees visibility in any conditions.
A portion of proceeds supports Seiko's Save the Ocean campaign, contributing to marine conservation efforts. Complete with brown silicone strap and collector's box, each caseback bears its individual serial number.
