The Prospex LX SNR033 represents the pinnacle of Seiko's technological achievement, housing the extraordinary Spring Drive movement within a titanium case designed by renowned automotive and industrial designer Ken Okuyama.
Spring Drive technology combines the soul of mechanical watchmaking with quartz precision, achieving accuracy of plus or minus one second per day. The Caliber 5R66 utilizes a traditional mainspring and gear train, but replaces the escapement with a quartz-regulated glide wheel that produces the smoothest sweeping seconds hand in horology. This 30-jewel movement delivers approximately 72 hours of power reserve and can be wound both manually and automatically. The 44.8mm titanium case receives Seiko's super-hard coating, nearly doubling its already impressive hardness while keeping weight remarkably light at just 156 grams.
The deep blue dial showcases multiple finishing techniques, creating depth and visual interest, while the bi-directional rotating bezel features a blue and black 24-hour scale beneath a sapphire insert. A red GMT hand tracks a second time zone, complemented by a power reserve indicator and date calendar. LumiBrite ensures nighttime legibility, and the sapphire crystal receives Seiko's super-clear coating for optimal transparency.
