The Breitling Chronomat B31 Automatic 40 brings the unmistakable character of the Chronomat into a slimmer, time-and-date design. This version pairs a green dial with a 40mm stainless steel case and Breitling’s signature integrated Rouleaux bracelet, creating a sports watch that feels equally at home dressed up or worn every day.
Inside is the Breitling Manufacture Caliber B31, a COSC-certified automatic movement introduced in 2025. With approximately 78 hours of power reserve, a sapphire exhibition caseback, and a case measuring just 10.99mm thick, the B31 gives the Chronomat serious mechanical credentials without the added size and complexity of a chronograph.

For us, the appeal of this Chronomat is how much Breitling has packed into such a wearable package. At 40mm across and only 10.99mm thick, it has the wrist presence you want from a Chronomat without feeling bulky.
The green dial is also a great fit for this design. It gives the watch personality, while the steel case and Rouleaux bracelet keep it versatile. Add the manufacture B31 movement and 200 meters of water resistance, and this becomes the kind of luxury sports watch that really can be worn almost anywhere.
The Rouleaux Bracelet
One of our favorite details is the Rouleaux bracelet. Its distinctive cylindrical links have become a defining feature of the modern Chronomat, giving the watch a look that's immediately recognizable as Breitling.
For this generation, Breitling adds on-the-fly adjustable links on both sides of the clasp, making it easier to fine-tune the fit throughout the day.
