A mechanical Hi-Beat GMT that can track three time zones
With the globetrotter in mind, Reference SBGJ237 features a GMT hand, a 24-hour dial ring, and a blue-and-white bidirectional rotating bezel that allows for tracking three time zones at once. As is true with all Grand Seiko timepieces, legibility is one of the most important elements in creating a practical timepiece.
To that end, the design team specifically chose large hands and indexes filled generously with LumiBrite—a proprietary luminous compound—which is also featured on the bezel. Additionally, the high-quality sapphire glass on the surface of the bezel provides a strong sense of depth to the aesthetic, as well as extra resilience against scratches. This model incorporates Caliber 9S86, a Hi-Beat movement running at 36,000 bph, an of accuracy +5 to -3 seconds a day, and a power reserve of 55 hours. With its robust exterior, water resistance of 20 bar, and high resistance against shocks, SBGJ237 has been perfected as the ideal luxurious sports watch.
