About
Presage Shippo Enamel Collection. Offering the finest in Japanese mechanical watchmaking, the Presage Collection blends precision technology with superior craftsmanship and design. Created by master craftsmen trained in the painstaking, multi-stage process of applying and polishing this special type of enamel, Presage dials showcase the unique brilliance and depth of enamel artistry. Inspired by the sea, the rich blue Shippo enamel dial of this elegant design is subtly patterned to suggest a ripple in calm waters, and features a date calendar and white numerals in the same font as the 1913 Laurel, Seiko's first wristwatch. A box-shaped sapphire crystal includes anti-reflective coating on the inner surface, while the screwdown see-through caseback provides a view of the 26-jewel automatic movement with manual winding capability, a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and a power reserve of approximately 45 hours. With a thinner, sleeker caliber, this sophisticated timepiece is crafted of stainless steel with super-hard coating, and offers a brown crocodile strap and tri-fold push button release clasp. Includes special Paulownia wood presentation box. 3 bar, 30m Water Resistant

While certain brands continually produce a myriad of lines and models, notable premium watchmakers like Rolex keep production low in order to focus on their exquisite quality. Luxury Watches Are Built to Last Aside from obvious engineering and precision differences, collectors would be hard-pressed to find a moderately priced watch that runs strong a year or two after its initial purchase, let alone for a lifetime. Meanwhile, luxury watches are meticulously crafted to a level of mechanical excellence that ensures they can be true heirloom pieces that are passed down from generation to generation. Some luxury watches can take years to produce, which is a true testament to the level of quality that collectors should expect. From effortless movement to precise construction and timeless design, the measure of true luxury watches is their staying power.
