This Special Edition celebrates Seiko's first diver's watch from 1965 and the brand's ongoing partnership with PADI.
Featuring a vibrant emerald-green gradient dial that captures the underwater view of sunlight rippling through ocean waves. Inspired by the legendary 62MAS from 1965, the 40mm stainless steel case with super-hard coating maintains compact yet robust proportions at 13mm thick with a 46.4mm lug-to-lug measurement. The dial showcases a subtle wave-textured pattern in emerald green with raised hour markers, all treated with LumiBrite inserts for enhanced underwater legibility.
A coordinating green aluminum bezel insert frames the dial, while the date window positioned between 4 and 5 o'clock allows for LumiBrite on all twelve markers, improving symmetry. The 24-jewel caliber 6R55 automatic movement beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour with an impressive 72-hour power reserve and manual winding capability. The innovative clasp adjusts in six steps totaling 15mm for comfortable fit changes during diving. Highlighting conservation efforts, the watch includes an additional green fabric strap woven from 100% recycled fishing nets using traditional Japanese Seichu technique.
