The Skeie's Difference

Family-Owned Since 1922 Complimentary Shipping 30-Day Returns & Exchanges

The Seiko Prospex Speedtimer HBJ003 combines the motorsport-inspired character of the Speedtimer collection with the everyday convenience and reliability of Seiko’s V192 solar chronograph movement. Its 41.4mm stainless steel case, curved sapphire crystal, tachymeter scale, and multi-register chronograph display give it the purposeful look that defines the Speedtimer series.

Powered entirely by light, the HBJ003 can operate for approximately six months when fully charged. The chronograph measures up to 60 minutes in precise 1/5-second increments, making this a genuinely functional sports chronograph rather than simply a watch with racing-inspired styling.

The Skeie’s Perspective

What we like about the HBJ003 is how much functionality Seiko packs into a watch that remains very wearable. At 41.4mm across and only 45.9mm lug-to-lug, the case has the presence you'd expect from a sports chronograph without becoming unnecessarily oversized.

The solar movement is another reason we like the Speedtimer. There's no battery replacement as part of normal operation and no need to keep an automatic movement wound. Give it light and wear it. For someone who wants the visual interest and functionality of a chronograph in an easy everyday watch, this is a strong expression of what Prospex does well.

Built Around the Chronograph

The HBJ003 is powered by Seiko's Caliber V192, with a chronograph capable of timing up to 60 minutes in 1/5-second increments. The dial also incorporates a small seconds display, 24-hour hand, power reserve indicator, and date.

Surrounding the dial is a tachymeter scale, reinforcing the Speedtimer's connection to precision timing and motorsport-inspired chronographs.

Solar Powered for Everyday Wear

Instead of relying on a conventional battery change or mechanical winding, the V192 converts light into electrical energy. Once fully charged, Seiko specifies an operating duration of approximately six months.

For an everyday sports watch, we think that's one of the HBJ003's biggest advantages: it combines the complication and visual presence of a chronograph with very little day-to-day maintenance.

We offer complimentary shipping on all orders, with each piece carefully packaged and fully insured for delivery. For full details on shipping methods and timelines, please visit our Shipping Policy.
